Netanyahu thanks Trump for endorsement ahead of Israeli elections, saying they have 'a job to finish'

Summary

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US President Donald Trump in a phone call that they have a job to finish, after Trump publicly endorsed him ahead of the upcoming Israeli elections. In the call, Netanyahu said: 'Donald, we have a job to finish. You said it, and we will finish it together,' and thanked Trump for what he called an incredible endorsement. His office released a video of the call on Monday. In a later clip, Netanyahu called Trump 'by far, the greatest friend Israel has ever had,' a day after Trump praised him as a 'great warrior prime minister' and a partner for peace and credited him with joining the United States in launching strikes on Iran in February. The reports describe the conflict as now in its seventh month, with disruption to global energy markets and widespread damage across the Middle East.
