Summary

NASA's Perseverance rover now holds the record for the longest distance traveled on another world, a category that includes Mars and Earth's Moon, Universe Today reports. The outlet credits the rover's AutoNav hazard-detection driving system and says the greater distance allows it to reach more scientific objectives.
